Moving Custom Symbols Libraries from the Windows Edition to SmartDraw Online

As you upgrade to the new SmartDraw, you'll want to access all your existing files.

If you created custom symbol libraries, you may also want to move those to the new SmartDraw.

  1. Create a blank diagram in the SmartDraw Windows Desktop edition and drag and drop all your custom symbols into the drawing area.
  2. Import that diagram into the new SmartDraw.
  3. Create a new custom library
  4. Add your symbols from your diagram into this new library
  5. Export the custom symbol library and email it to team members
  6. Have your team import the custom symbol library you emailed to them
