SmartDraw 2020 for Windows Desktop no longer includes a Messaging App, however older installations of SmartDraw for Windows Desktop do. These messages were meant to help users get started with SmartDraw or inform them about product updates.
Delete the Messages Folder
If you would like to remove the messaging application, simply go into the SmartDraw directory folder in Windows and delete the Messages folder. This will remove that component and stop the pop up.
The SmartDraw directory folder is located on the following path:
Windows 10, 8, 7, XP, Vista, and 2000 (32-bit): C:\Program Files\SmartDraw
Windows 10, 8, 7, XP, and Vista (64-bit): C:\Program Files(x86)\SmartDraw
Uninstall SmartDraw
If deleting the Messages folder doesn't work, please try running the following uninstaller:
https://www.smartdraw.com/downloads/sd_uninstaller.exe
Note: All instances of SmartDraw will be uninstalled, but it will not delete any files you’ve created. If you need to save any Custom SmartDraw Libraries, please let us know before uninstalling and we can help you save those.
If using Windows 8, 7, or Vista, save the uninstaller to your desktop, right-click the file, and choose “Run as Administrator” to ensure a successful removal of the program.
