If you recently switched from the old SmartDraw for Windows to the new SmartDraw, you can easily find and connect all your existing files.
Finding Existing Files on Your Desktop
Like you would use "Computer" on the old SmartDraw for Windows, you can choose SmartDraw File under Import located on the left panel of the SmartDraw Template Dialog to locate your files.
Clicking on SmartDraw File lets you find and open existing files on your computer. You will be prompted to select a destination folder and browse for the files you want to import from your desktop.
Choosing a Folder
By default, the destination folder selected is the main SmartDraw folder. Click on Change Folder and you can choose from any of your existing folders or create a new one. For example, you can easily recreate the folder tree you have on your desktop. Alternatively, you create a new "Desktop Import" folder to store all your transferred files.
If you choose to Create New Folder, you can name it in the next dialog:
Import Your Desktop Files
After selecting your folder, you'll want to select the files to import and then click Import Selected Files:
When the import is complete, you can find your files under the folder you select or if you didn't specify a folder, your files will be under Recent or SmartDraw in the My Documents section.
If you ever need to save your file back out as an SDR, you can do that from the Template Browser. Simply, right-click on the preview of the file you want to save and choose Export and the SDR will be downloaded to your desktop.
Connecting Third Party Storage like Dropbox, OneDrive, or Google Drive
If you used a third party storage service like Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, or Box, you can connect to those services in the new SmartDraw and access all your existing files.
To connect a third party storage service, click on Add Service and choose the service you want to connect. Follow the on-screen prompts and you'll be able to open your existing files.
