Importing Files from Lucidchart, Draw.io, and Omnigraffle

You can import documents from any application that exports to the Microsoft Visio file format. This includes apps like Lucidchart, Draw.io, and Omnigraffle.

Start by opening the Import view from the Dashboard and click on Other.

Next, select the app you want to import from by clicking on their logo.

You'll find instructions for each app.

Import Lucidchart Files

You can import any Lucidchart^® file into SmartDraw by first exporting it as a Visio^® file then importing that file into SmartDraw.

1. Open Lucidchart^® and select the file you want to import.
2. Click the File tab at the top-left corner.
3. Select Export, then choose Visio (VSDX) from the list of options.
4. Open SmartDraw, click Import and select the Visio import option.

Import draw.io Files

You can import any draw.io file into SmartDraw by first exporting it as a Visio^® file then importing that file into SmartDraw.

1. Open draw.io and select the file you want to import.
2. Click the File tab at the top-left corner.
3. Select Export As and choose VSDX from the list of options.
4. Open SmartDraw, click Import and select the Visio import option.

Import Omnigraffle Files

You can import any Omnigraffle^® file into SmartDraw by first exporting it as a Visio^® file then importing that file into SmartDraw.

1. Launch Omnigraffle and open the file you want to import.
2. Click File in the top-left corner.
3. Click Export and select Visio from the popup dialog.
4. Open SmartDraw, click Import and select the Visio import option.
