Import Visio Stencils

To import Visio stencils, first click on More in the Symbols area of your SmartPanel to the left of your drawing area. Next, click on Add New in the Symbol Libraries dialog and choose the Import Visio Stencils.

Browse for any Visio stencil files on your desktop that you want to import. Select the file or files you want to import and click Import Selected Files.


Once the import is complete, SmartDraw will automatically create libraries that match the imported file names and dock them next to your drawing.

You can now add your new symbols to your drawing.

You can also find your imported Visio stencils under More -> Symbol Libraries under My Custom Symbols -> Imported Visio Stencils.
