Add a layer to your visual by choosing New Layer from the Layers menu at the bottom of your workspace. Alternatively, you can also access layers from the Page tab.
The new layer dialog lets you name your new layer by typing it in the Name field.
You can also choose whether to make this new layer Visible and Clickable.
Selecting Visible allows your layer to be seen even when viewing a different layer in your visual. For example, you may want a landscaping plan around your patio to be visible from the house plan layer. However, if you're using layers to create a first and second story plan of the same house, you may not want to see both layers at once.
Selecting Clickable allows your layer to be edited even when the layer is not selected and you're on a different layer of your visual.
