Normally, text entered into a SmartDraw shape occupies a single text entry area that fills the shape. However, SmartDraw also supports Tables, or multiple text entry areas within the same shape.
You can add tables and format them using the Table tab.
You can add a standalone table to your workspace, by simply typing in the number of Rows and Columns fields and clicking Insert Table.
This will add a table with the selected number of rows and columns to your drawing.
You can also insert a table into any existing shape. To do so, select the shape first, and choose the number of rows and columns to add. Note that since table cells have a minimum height to accommodate text, adding a lot of rows and columns will grow your shape automatically.
Here we created a standalone table with 2 rows and 2 columns and inserted the same configuration into a diamond shape.
To remove a table, simply select it from your workspace or shape and click Remove Table.
Once a table is added, you can edit its properties using common table commands like joining cells or inserting columns and rows as needed.
