Saving is automatic in SmartDraw!
As you work on a visual, SmartDraw saves at regular intervals behind the scenes. You don't even have to name your file for it to begin saving, although we do recommend it for organizational purposes.
You can rename your auto-saved document simply by selecting the default name given by the app in the upper right, typing in your own name, and hitting Save.
If you started with a template, you can also use Save As to name your document for the first time. After the first time saving a template, you'll want to change the name by replacing the name in the upper right.
Once a template has been saved as a document, the option under the File tab will change to Save a Copy.
Instead of renaming the existing document, this creates copy of your document.
You can type the new name into the Name field and select your desired save location from the Save a Copy dialog box.
SmartDraw supports 3rd party storage options like OneDrive, Google Drive, and more. Simply connect to your preferred storage solution in this dialog if you haven't already.
