The annotation layer is a scale-independent layer available on all floor plan templates to help you enhance your drawings with additional information.
This annotation layer will automatically adjust its size and position as the drawing area (or paper size) changes. You can add the scale, author and other information about the design in this layer just like the "page view" in a traditional CAD program.
To add an Annotation Layer to your floor plan, find the Document Setup area on the SmartPanel docked to the left of your work area. Click on Add Annotation Layer.
A basic annotation layer will be added to your diagram with some placeholder information:
To add your own information for site, scale, and so on just click to select the text you want to replace and type your own.
You can easily hide the annotation layer by clicking the Remove Annotation Layer button on the SmartPanel.
Note that removing the layer will also remove any custom information you entered. If you add the layer again, you will have to re-enter your custom data.
