To see your Print Preview, go to the File tab and click on Print.
This is what your diagram will look like once printed.
Clicking Continue will generate a PDF you can save or print.
There are a few options you can set in this dialog.
Printing Scale
The first option you can set is whether you want to scale your diagram to a single page or print it using its actual size, or choose a custom scale that would be appropriate for an architectural drawing.
The default selection is Print Actual Size.
Print on One Page - Scales your diagram to fit on the size of the paper selected.
Print Actual Size - Prints your diagram without scaling it to fit. This means your diagram may span multiple pages.
Fit to Scale - Allows you to define a specific scale for your diagram when printed.
If you choose Fit to Scale, you'll be able to set the scale in the Scale Drop down. Choose from commonly used scales.
Paper Size
Choose from common paper sizes:
Choose Page Orientation
Page orientation refers to how your rectangular page is oriented: portrait or landscape. Portrait is when the height of the display area is greater than the width. Landscape is when the width of the display area is greater than its height. Choose the orientation that best fits your diagram.
Printing the Grid
All floor plan and landscape diagrams have a grid by default to help you create a precise layout and design. When you go to print, we usually hide this grid. If you do want to print the grid, check the Print Grid box.
Printing All Pages
If you have a file that contains multiple pages, you can include them in a single PDF generated by the print command by checking the Print All Pages option.
Note: Print All Pages doesn't actually refer to the the pages that your diagram is broken into to fit on a physical sheet of paper. Those will all be printed no matter what that setting shows. The Print All Pages option refers to page tabs created in SmartDraw. Let's say you had a house plan on one page and added an electrical plan and a landscape plan on two separate pages. Checking the box to Print all Pages will include those pages in your PDF.
Include Hyperlinks
If you have hyperlinks in your document, SmartDraw strips them out by default when printing since they won't be useful on paper. However, if you want to preserve the hyperlinks in a PDF, make sure to check the Include Hyperlinks option.
