Choose the Mechanical Diagram template from the Engineering category under New Document on the dashboard.
A mechanical diagram is a drawing that shows the heating, ventilation, and AC plans for a building.
Start drawing a wire using the Line tool at the top of the SmartPanel. By default, you'll draw a segmented line with an arrow at one end.
Add symbols to your diagram by dragging and dropping from symbol libraries in the SmartPanel.
As you drag and drop a symbol to the wire, you'll see an anchor symbol appear when the symbol is ready to be attached to the line.
To detach a symbol from your wire, hold down the Alt key as you drag it away from the line.
