SmartDraw can connect to your Jira instance and generate a report that shows dependencies for all issues for any selected Epic even if that Epic spans multiple teams.
Select the Epic Dependencies template under the JIRA subcategory under Agile Workflow.
The SmartPanel has all the tools you need to connect to your Jira instance, specify the Epic you want to visualize and add any symbols to your diagram manually.
To build your report, click the Build Epic Dependencies Report button.
You'll be prompted to login to your Jira instance using your Atlassian account.
Make sure you authorize SmartDraw to be able to view your projects and epics.
Once logged in, you'll see a dialog asking you to provide an issue key for the Epic you want to center this report around.
Next, you'll need to specify the type of dependencies or links you want the report to focus on. You can choose from Blocks, Clones, Duplicates, Problem, or Relates. By default, Blocks will be selected.
You can also specify the field you store your team information. By default, SmartDraw assumes that field is Component, but you can also choose Project, Team, or a custom field unique to your instance.
The report displays the selected Epic as the anchor issue in purple. The center row includes all issues linked to the Epic. The bottom row shows any issues being blocked by the center row. The top row shows the issues blocking the center row.
The colored dots on each card show the status of the issue or epic as to do, in progress, or done.
If you need more information about any of the issues in the report, click the blue link for the issue key to be taken to your Jira instance.
