You can create a report that shows dependencies for any selected single issue from your Jira instance. That issue can be any type (feature, initiative, story, bug, or task).
The report is generated using the blocks link type built into Jira. If that link exists between two issues, the report will show that dependency.
Select the Blocking Issue template under the JIRA subcategory under Agile Workflow.
The SmartPanel has all the tools you need to connect to your Jira instance, specify the issue you want to visualize and add any symbols to your diagram manually.
To build your report, click the Build Blocking Issue Report button.
You'll be prompted to login to your Jira instance using your Atlassian account.
Make sure you authorize SmartDraw to be able to view your projects and epics.
Once logged in, you'll see a dialog where you can specify an issue. Type an issue key to get a visual of things blocking that issue.
Depending on the information available in your Jira instance and the issue you selected, the generated diagram may look something like this.
The colored dots on each card show the status of the issue as to do, in progress, or done.
Click on the issue key in any box to see your issue in your Jira instance in case you need to drill down for more information.
